Southgate Farmers Market to feature “Brunch at Southgate”

The South Central Farmers Market Association announced today that brunch will be served at Southgate Farmers Market on Saturday, September 2. Shoppers can choose between two buffet servings, either full or continental, priced at $5 and $3 respectively. The market’s vendors will supply all the foods and fresh ingredients for the brunch, which will be available from 9:30 to noon. Seating will be provided under protective canopies for this event. The market will open for shopping as usual at 8:00.

Southgate Farmers Market, in its first year of operation, is held each Saturday morning from 8 to 12 on the parking lot of Southgate Shopping Center, corner of West Washington Street and Cedar Avenue in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. The market brings a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, many grown without the use of chemicals, to local residents.

The public is invited to come and sample the seasonal bounty of local farms on September 2 at “Brunch at Southgate.”
