Global Alliance for the Rights of Nature

In September 2010, the Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund gathered with organizations from around the world to form the Global Alliance for the Rights of Nature to expand the growing work on Rights of Nature.

The Legal Defense Funds serves on the Global Alliance Executive Committee and is chairing its Legislative Assistance Working Group. 

The Working Group is assisting people, communities, and governments around the world as they seek to put Rights of Nature legal frameworks into law.
