OHIO COMMUNITIES BAN FRACKING:  In August, the Niles City Council, located in northeast Ohio, voted unanimously to protect their community from shale gas drilling and fracking by adopting a Community Bill of Rights. Click here to learn more.  In addition, working with CELDF, this November the communities of Bowling Green and Youngstown will both be voting on citizens’ initiatives establishing community rights and banning fracking.

CELDF BLOG: With growing numbers of Community Rights initiatives banning fracking being qualified for the ballot this November in Ohio, there has been a flurry of procedural attempts to keep people from voting on their own measures. Read more here.
