This Week on Democracy Matters: Christopher Cook, acclaimed author of "Diet for a Dead Planet: Big Business and the Coming Food Crisis"

Posted by Mari Margil on March 22nd, 2011

On this week's program we interview acclaimed author Christopher Cook, who wrote "Diet for a Dead Planet: Big Business and the Coming Food Crisis," on the corporatization of agriculture. He's written recently on Monsanto's domination of the GMO seed industry. We talk about how it is that corporations are legally authorized to monopolize such markets, and how they control the food we eat.

Each week on Democracy Matters we bring you stories from the frontlines as communities bring rights-based organizing to their communities - asserting their local self-governing authority to make the critical decisions that affect their lives and their community.
